As luxuriant as they are effective, these age-deifying treatments unveil younger, softer skin

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a technique which involves the application of a variety of chemical solutions, removing the damaged outer layers of dead skin cells from the skin’s surface. It is beneficial for many skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne, sun damage, and aging skin. By removing the build-up of dead skin cells and stimulating the regenerative process, you will notice marked improvements in the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, texture and tone of the skin, hydration, reduced pore size, clearing of blemishes and more balanced oil production and an overall healthier skin appearance. An added bonus is that peels will also help your favorite serum and moisturizer penetrate deeper and be more effective.

What are the different types of Peels offered?

Our treatments are esthetic procedures that will improve the texture, tone and appearance of the skin. They are not to be confused with a medical or physician-strength peel that affects the deeper dermis and require additional down time and healing.

How will I know which chemical peel if best for my skin?

Chemical peels require pre-qualification one week prior to the procedure. This information will be valuable in determining which peel and depth of peel is right for you. It is recommended that a corrective facial and skin analysis is performed one week before a chemical peel.

Is it necessary to prepare my skin for a chemical peel?

Yes! To prepare the skin, you will be required to purchase a home care kit and begin using one week prior to the chemical peel. This also will be determined at the time of the consultation.

How much does a chemical peel cost?

Pricing will be determined at the time of the consultation. Chemical peels vary in price depending on the depth and type of peel provided.

What type of skin care should I use after my chemical peel?

There are specific instructions to be followed after your skin peel – this is as important as the peel itself. Post care is required and includes healing balms, epidermal growth factor and soothing topicals to reduce itching and inflammation and support healing. Sun screen is mandatory following any chemical peel procedure and must be applied daily. The most important part of any home care routine is a cleanser, sunblock and a supportive cell rejuvenator.

How do I maintain the effect of a chemical peel and keep my skin looking its best?

Additional specialty products, such as antioxidants, eye serums, nighttime moisturizers, AHAs, Vitamin C, retinol, enzymes, and topical correctives may be added to enhance and maintain results after the initial healing phase. Your Aesthetician will recommend a program for you that best fits your lifestyle and skin care goals.

Chemical Peels

Choose from our collection of Chemical Peels for the ultimate in facial rejuvenation

Radiance Peel

For an instant glow, this progressive peel will leave your skin looking and feeling refreshed. This procedure may be scheduled every two weeks or between corrective facials for an extra boost of radiance. The Radiance Peel is often referred to as the lunch time peel because it requires no down time. For best results and optimum skin rejuvenation, we recommend a series of 6 Radiance Peels within three consecutive months.

Renewal Peel

This refers to a clinical mid-depth peel that affects the superficial layers of the skin. Peeling begins 2-3 days after the procedure, consists of light flaking similar to a sunburn peel with very little down time. Your skin will look refreshed and brighter.

Corrective Peel

This refers to a clinical deep peel with intense cellular renewal. Peeling occurs within two to three days after the procedure. The skin becomes brown and crusty, peeling in large segments as opposed to flaking. This peeling process lasts for about 10 days and may result in some scabbing, pinkness and skin sensitivity.

Healthy Aging Peel

This is our signature chemical peel designed especially for renewal and rejuvenation of aging skin. Thru chemical exfoliation, fine lines are minimized, skin is brightened and texture is improved. Skin softens as the years are peeled away, revealing a fresher, more radiant complexion. Although progressive, additional layers can be added for a mid-depth peel.

Post Peel Facial

This treatment supports the renewal process by infusing nutrients into the skin and enhancing the healing process. Post peel care is recommended 2 weeks following a mid-depth or deep peel.

Peel Consultation

Mid-depth and deep chemical peels require pre-qualification and a corrective facial one week prior to the procedure. Your personalized consultation includes a treatment plan, patch test and pre-peel instructions, skin analysis and corrective facial. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 843.815.2200

Looking Your Best At Every Age

20s - Prevent and Protect

Breakouts may still be a problem, so keep your skin clean. Avoid harsh cleansers that may over-dry your complexion, resulting in moisture loss. Remember to wear a daily sunscreen. Choose a brand that offers a broad spectrum UVA-UVB sunscreen with added benefits such as a mineral tint and an antioxidant complex.

30s - Exfoliate and Hydrate

With cell turnover gradually slowing down, you may begin to experience a lack of radiance, fine lines and a change in texture and tone to your complexion. Be sure to exfoliate and apply C Peptide Complex to your skin for a healthy glow.

40s - Brighten and Replenish

An increase of hyperpigmentation, loss of moisture and the breakdown of collagen call for serious skin care. Look for products that contain powerful rejuvenating ingredients such as a Retinol Stem Cell Complex and Skin Brightening Botanicals to improve the texture and tone of your skin.

50s - Reverse Damage and Restore

Support maturing skin with skin strengthening treatments that work to stimulate collagen and support elasticity. Chemical peels lift away damaged outer layers and stimulate new cell growth resulting in a more youthful glow. A daily application of an Antioxidant Serum and enhanced growth factor restores skin health.

60s and beyond - Celebrate and Rejuvenate

The ability of the skin to retain moisture and defend itself against environmental stressors such as the change of seasons and sun exposure may be compromised as we age. Luxury treatment creams such as Exotica Rhodiola, contain both plant growth factors and antioxidants to boost hydration and strengthen the skin.
